Next Cafe on Saturday, May 25
Our monthly event is held at Mary Immaculate (2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, TX). A night of praise and worship in Adoration followed by LIVE Catholic entertainment while sipping on a cup of coffee from Honduras or Nicaragua. Great place to meet, mingle, and network with other fellow Catholics in a coffee house environment. Open to all so bring your family and friends! August 14, 2012 | by Yong OhMany have asked since I returned, "How was Mission??" My immediate response is "it was great and a very fruitful trip." However, it was very different, which is why I haven’t really shared with people about it until now. What was different? Well, I have travelled to Central America on missions for the last five years, but for some reason I left with a sense that there was something very unique about this particular mission trip. I can’t exactly pin-point the one thing that made it different, so instead I will share with you some of the experiences my staff and I encountered on this beautiful two week journey through Honduras and Nicaragua....

August 14, 2012 | by Dora SalasHere in the states, we can hardly imagine a life that is so simple, so quiet and so undistracted with things that it would be hard for us to believe that anyone could actually live that way. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Imagine a place with no mall, no billboards, no shopping centers, no IPhones or electronics, no restaurants and no noise. There is such a place!

The Shepherd’s Café is one of the finest places to celebrate Catholic life and culture. The world has already sent its message via the media, Hollywood, music etc. and so The Shepherd’s Café is sending a new message. It is this: We are here, we are alive, and we are CATHOLIC.

Dave Moore is a Christian Singer, Song-writer who’s passion and heart for God can be seen throughout all his life and music. Moore, who was the founder and lead singer of the band The Glory Estate, has written many songs that have been played on Independent Christian Radio stations. He has traveled the states singing contemporary and traditional songs of Praise for all generations. Moore first became a Music Minister in the summer of 2004 (St. Paul Catholic Church), but currently resides at St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Newman Catholic Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Aside from Sundays at his home parish, Moore plays for events of all different denominations and purposes.

7:00 PM - 10:30 PMWe will not have the cafe in July due to some of the staff members being away on 13 day Shepherd's Cafe Young Adult WYD Pilgrimage....we will be heading to Peru (Lima and Cusco) then onto Rio for World Youth Day. Please pray for us and see you in August!
